Isabel, Leyte – Cleanaway Philippines, Incorporated (CPI) recently opened its healthcare waste treatment facility at Leyte Industrial Development Estate in Isabel, Leyte. The first of its kind in the region, the new Cleanclave System will operate this Q3 of 2022 to cater to the growing medical waste demand in the Leyte-Samar region. Opened in 2013, CPI has grown its hazardous waste services over the years. Affiliated with the Cleanway Environmental Management Solutions, Inc. (CEMSI) in Cavite and Tarlac, CPI will further its mission in hazardous waste management to offer solutions for wider hazardous waste acceptance as approved by the DENR-EMB. Attending the event are the local Sangguniang Bayan Members of Isabel and its Vice Mayor Hon. Adam Fuentes, representing the newly elected Mayor, Hon. Edgrado Cordeno. Officials of DENR-EMB Region VIII graced the event with outgoing Regional Director, Engr. Reynaldo Barra and current Regional Director Martin Jose Despi. CPI and CEMSI are part of the Environmental Division of The Herma Group.
