DENR-EMB Agreement Renewal on Adopt-An-Estero Program
Tagaytay City – Cleanway renewed its commitment with the DENR-EMB’s Adopt-An-Estero Program. After receiving the recognition from the regional agency, Cleanway signed another agreement to take care of Labuyo Creek nearest to main plant in Silang. For several years, the company is monitoring and cleaning the water body that passes through several industrial sites. Regular water testing is conducted from its upstream, midstream and downstream points to ensure effluent quality. In 2018, Cleanway installed a trash trap unit between the upstream and midstream section to monitor alleged illegal waste disposal. Since then, the creek has sustained its sound maintenance assuring the community of Maguyam of our intention for a cleaner and greener environment. We thank the Barangay council for its support to the program and the Local Government of Silang for its stringent monitoring of our water bodies. We hope that all industries will soon be conscious and concerned for our environment.

The MOA signing was represented by the Chief Operating Officer Alfredo O. Ebita for the CEMSI Managing Director, Jose Exiquel Esguerra with DENR-EMB IV-A Regional Director Noemi Paranada signing for the government. With the CEMSI delegation are Operations Division Chief Antonio Celajes, SHEQ Manager Marisol Rosel and Corporate Affairs Officer Phillip Medina.
