Barangay Incentive on Efficient Segregation

Silang, Cavite- CEMSI collaborated with the Municipal Environmental and Natural Resources Office of Silang to raise awareness on solid waste management. CEMSI’s P50,000 cash donation aims to reintroduce and incentivize MENRO’s program on efficient barangay waste segregation. Two barangays were recognized for their environmental efforts. Barangay Biga I and Paligawan received P25,000 incentive from CEMSI to continue their efforts in plastic and tin can segregation. Solid waste management should start in our homes, and with the help of the Barangay Leaders, it can create greater progress to protect our environment.

Cleanway congratulates Batch 1 of the 2024 CEMSI Internship Program. Twelve interns from various academic institutions such as Enderun Colleges, Tarlac Agricultural University, De La Salle University-Dasmarinas, Tarlac State University, and Cavite State University received their Certificates of Completion as they rendered their full-service hours in the Technical Services Division, Operations, Safety Health and Environment Quality and Marketing Units. Students are given a chance to explore the laboratory services and several hands-on projects relevant to environmental protection and advocacy. CEMSI received almost a hundred internship applications giving way to another selected second batch this year. Donation to Oil Spill Clean-up Operations

Bataan Oil Spill Clean up in Cavite
Trece Martires City – Cleanway, in coordination with the Rotary Club of Eisenhower, donated 50 units of 200L plastic drums for the Bataan oil spill response program of the Provincial Government of Cavite. Due to monsoon winds, most of the oil went to the shores of Cavite’s coastal towns affecting livelihood and posing environmental risks. Receiving the donation are Rhoda Periodico and Ferdinand Belamide and the PGENRO team for the Provincial Government of Cavite.

CEMSI Partners with FEED, Rotary, UP Land Grant in Sierra Madre

Sierra Madre – CEMSI Silang and Tarlac partners with Fostering Education & Environment for Development or FEED Inc. and Rotary Club of Eisenhower for its annual tree planting activity in the UP Laguna-Quezon Land Grant. The location is situated at the end of the Sierra Madre Ridge bordering the two provinces. After a 15-minute hike, 350 native Philippine trees were planted along the slopes. Here, seedlings are monitored by the local community and professional Forest rangers. Activity sites are also available with GPS for quick location reference of the planted trees.

Do you know that there is a law requiring every citizen of this country to plant trees? PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 1153 requires the planting of one tree every month for five consecutive years. Section 2 of the said decree states that “In furtherance of said policy, every citizen of the Philippines at least ten (10) years of age, actually residing therein, unless physically disabled to do so, shall plant one tree every month for five (5) consecutive years.” Now you know it’s the responsibility of every Filipino! Plant one now! Or plant 12 for the year! It’s better to plant 60 in a day! 🌱

Capas, Tarlac – “Cleanway Environmental Management Solutions, Inc. (CEMSI), the second beneficiary, provides an integrated and comprehensive technology solutions for waste and wastewater treatment. CEMSI established a new plant in Tarlac City to expand services to more industrial and hospital facilities. Through the blue bond proceeds, the new facility provided wastewater management services to 121 new businesses and 23 new hospitals. Malay, Aklan – CEMSI and CPI held a joint marketing activity at the Pollution Control Association of the Philippines Inc. (PCAPI) 2024 National Convention at Boracay Island. CEMSI COO Ronel Pagcaliwangan, Operations and Sales SVP Rodney Esguerra and National Sales Manager Erlyness Carlos attended the event with Territory Managers Engr. JP Atienza of CEMSI and Mr. Michael Taduyo of CPI represented the management team in the annual prestigious affair. CPI’s Pollution Control Officer Honey Mae de Guzman attended the conference and forum as part of our knowledge capacity building in the trends, changes and challenges in hazardous waste management.

PDEA R8 Asst. RD Alex M. Tablate led his team in the signing and witnessing. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) is responsible for efficient law enforcement of all provisions on any dangerous drugs and/or precursors and essential chemicals.

Sharing Hazwaste Treament Sustainability at 2024 PCEDM Convention

Pasay City – Together in environmental advocacy, CEMSI partners with Sanofi in the 2024 Philippine College of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism (PCEDM) Convention to showcase responsible disposal of healthcare waste. CEMSI advocates zero-to-landfill methodologies as part of its sustainability agenda. To date, treated wastes are converted to inert ash through its Thermal Oxidizer. The final product is transformed into paver bricks suitable for landscaping use.

Silang, Cavite- The Cavite Division of the Department of Education recognizes Cleanway Environmental Management Solutions, Inc. as one of its Top 25 Stakeholders in education and community building. Held in the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS), the Agapay 2024 gathered various stakeholders and recognized projects in their respective localities. Cleanway’s efforts for Maguyam Elementary School is part of its 15-year community sustainability program. Since 2008, the school has been a partner of its corporate social responsibility projects that range from school material assistance, construction and cleaning material donations, equipment and mobile phone donations, and implementation of environmental education programs.
