Carmona, Cavite – About 160 representatives from more than 90 various industrial establishments and healthcare facilities in different regions of Luzon gathered on Tuesday at San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park in Carmona, Cavite to learn the upgraded online manifest system implemented by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources- Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) for hazardous waste generators.
The seminar entitled, Orientation on the Upgraded Online Manifest System for Hazardous Waste Generators” was conducted by Cleanway Environmental Management Solutions, Inc. (CEMSI) in partnership with the DENR-EMB- It aims to brief industries and medical establishments on the new electronic / online system of registration, report, and request permits for the proper collection, treatment, and disposal of their toxic and hazardous wastes.
Representatives from the DENR-EMB led by its Central Office Chief of Hazardous Waste Management Section, Geri-Geronimo Sanez graced the said event as resource persons to help answer queries and address concerns of the participating industries with regard to the use of the new online system.
The seminar is part of CEMSl’s advocacy campaign to educate communities and industries of their environmental responsibilities, and help them carry out their tasks by providing waste management solutions. CEMSI is a multi ISO-certified and is the only DENR-accredited company that offers multiple treatment processes from hauling, treatment, storage, all the way to disposal with its own state-of-the art secured landfill located in Silang, Cavite.
